Alice Paylor Elected Treasurer of the South Carolina Bar

CHARLESTON, SC – February 22, 2011 – Commercial litigation attorney Alice F. Paylor with the Charleston firm of Rosen, Rosen & Hagood was recently elected to serve as Treasurer of the South Carolina Bar Association. Her previous positions with the Bar include serving as Secretary in 2010-11, Chair of the House of Delegates, 2008-2010 and as a member of its Board of Governors and its House of Delegates. Paylor’s practice focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation, employment litigation and education law. She was admitted to practice in South Carolina in 1977 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

A native of Greenville, SC, Paylor resides on Sullivan’s Island near Charleston with her husband and their two children. Her extensive community involvement includes past service as Chair of the Sullivans Island Board of Zoning Appeals. She has also served on the Charleston County Bar Association’s Executive Committee, the American Bar Association’s Special Committee on Housing and Urban Development Law, the South Carolina Bar’s Convention Committee and Judicial Qualifications Committee, as Secretary and Treasurer of the South Carolina Bar’s Young Lawyers Division and as Treasurer and President of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association.
