Rosen Hagood Attorney Receives 2015 Platinum Compleat Lawyer Award

Rosen Hagood shareholder Alice Paylor received the Platinum Compleat Lawyer Award from the University of South Carolina School of Law Alumni Council at the Annual Alumni Dinner on April 30th.

The award is given annually by the law school’s Alumni Council to alumni who have demonstrated the highest level of professional competence, ethics, and integrity throughout their professional career.

“Alice is very deserving of the Compleat Lawyer Award,” said Richard Rosen, managing shareholder.  “The firm is very proud of her and pleased that she is being recognized for her civic and professional accomplishments.”

Paylor focuses her law practice in the areas of complex business and commercial litigation, employment litigation, and school and education law. She graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1977 and joined Rosen Hagood in 1982.

Paylor has a long history of service within the South Carolina Bar (SC Bar) and other legal organizations.  She served as the 2013-2014 President of the SC Bar.  Paylor has also served on the SC Bar’s Board of Governors since 2005, including serving in the positions of secretary and treasurer. In the past, she has served on the Conventions Committee and Judicial Qualifications Committee, as the secretary/treasurer of the Young Lawyers Division, and as a member and chair of the House of Delegates.

In 2014, Paylor was appointed to the American Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession and was elected to the Executive Council of the National Conference of Bar Presidents. Paylor is also a permanent member of the 4th Circuit Judicial Conference.  She holds an AV-Rating by Martindale-Hubbell ®, and has been recognized by both Super Lawyers® and Best Lawyers®.
