Personal Information

Tim Muller grew up in several places from Florida to California, but primarily was raised in Saugatuck, Michigan. Mr. Muller and his wife Jennifer, of the Charleston Ballet Theater, reside in downtown Charleston.

Background

Tim Muller completed his undergraduate studies at Grand Valley State University in Michigan where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. In pursuit of his degree, he attended the International Affairs program at Kingston University in London, England and the intensive Spanish language program at the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Mr. Muller worked in sales, design, and project management for Herman Miller, Inc. and its distributors for several years following the completion of his undergraduate degree. In these roles he worked closely with commercial construction and architecture.

In May 2008, Mr. Muller received his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law. While in law school, he was Articles Editor and served on the Editorial Board of the Charleston Law Review. During his final year of law school, he worked for the Honorable Patrick M. Duffy, District Court Judge for the United States District Court of South Carolina. He graduated with honors, finishing in the top ten percent of his graduating class. After clerking for Rosen, Rosen & Hagood during the summer of 2007, he was hired as an associate attorney to practice primarily in the construction law group.
