Protecting Policyholders from Insurance Company Abuse

An insurance policy is a legal contract between you, the insured, and your insurance company in which you agree to pay premiums and the insurance company agrees to cover damages for certain events. Under the law, this contract requires the insurance company to act in 'good faith' towards and to deal fairly with the persons they insure, which means that the insurance company cannot look for a way to escape its obligation to investigate a claim or to pay the insured.

If the insurance company is not handling your claim fairly, you may have a claim for insurance “bad faith,” which may allow you to recover not only the insurance benefits to which you are entitled under the policy, but also the possibility to recover larger amounts beyond the original policy value.

Rosen Hagood helps protect policyholders from insurance company abuse. Our firm’s objective is to help our clients identify the many different types of bad faith insurance practices, in the context of both first-party and third-party claims. We also work to help our clients force insurance companies to honor the terms of their insurance policies.

Who We Represent

Our firm represents individual policyholders with valid claims against their homeowners, auto, life, liability, health, disability, long-term care, and medical insurance carriers. Our attorneys also have extensive experience representing business policyholders involved in disputes over business, commercial general liability, fidelity, commercial property, and business interruption coverage. Further, we assist our clients in specialized business areas such as the construction, maritime, and technology industries to handle their unique claims.

Our team of lawyers is dedicated to using their experience, knowledge, and skills to deliver a positive outcome, either resulting in a settlement with the insurance company or through a favorable jury verdict.

If you believe that you have a valid bad faith claim against your insurance company, contact the attorneys at Rosen Hagood to assist you with your dispute. We will carefully review your policy and advise you how to proceed with your claim.
